Andrea Jeremiah

Andrea Maria Jeremiah is an Indian actress, playback singer as well as a musician. She works predominantly in Tamil as well as Malayalam film languages. Her debut as an actress was the Tamil film Pachaikili Muthucharam, and her Malayalam debut was with Annayum's Rasoolum. Andrea Jeremiah has an Anglo-Indian family background. She was born to a Madras High Court attorney. Andrea is the youngest sister of a researcher assistant from Leuven, Belgium. Jeremiah was born close to Chennai she attended National Public School before graduating from Women's Christian College. Andrea was an eight-year-old classical pianist who was also an avid geek. Young Stars, a Jackson Five-style group which she joined at age 10 was the foundation for her singing as well as composing music. At her university she was also an actor and appeared in stage shows that were put on through The Madras Players. Andrea was the president of the Women's Christian College's Student Senate. Andrea's career started with Girishkarnad Nagamandala. In 2006, her role in the new leo Coffee advertisement included Shiva. In 2006, she also appeared in an episode that was retransmitted on Podhigai channel. She acted throughout India. She had a small role in the Kanda Mudhal final (2005). Gautham Vaisudev menon performed in Vettaiyaadu's Vilaiyaadu. She was asked to have her play the role of a female lead on Pachaikili Muthucharam. This film was a film adaptation of the novel by James Siegel Derailed, with Andrea as Kalyani an aspiring homemaker, whose husband engages in an affair and is blackmailed. Andrea was chosen to play the role after Simran and Tabu were two actors who were approached by the producers. The film was released in the early part of the year 2010. The film was released in August 2011. Venkat Prabhu made his debut with the multi-starrer Mankatha. The film was commissioned to take on a lesser support role. Her Malayalam film debut with Rajeeev Rathi's Annayum Rasoolum in 2013.
